On To Rincon de Guayabitos !

Well, we're on our way, catching the shuttle bus from the airport that will take us up to the Decameron Los Cocos Hotel complex in Rincon.  You'll notice that I only took photo's on the flat's on the trip north, once we hit the mountains and the banditos we were all too busy hanging on for dear life and dodging bullets as our driver,   Juan Fangio's grandson flung our bus through all the mountain curves to beat his " Personal Best " record while avoiding the many gangs of banditos plaguing this stretch of highway through the mountains.  But hat's off to him, he got us through and to our hotel with no injuries !   No injuries at all !   Didn't even hit a meandering cow !

Where Your Winter Produce Comes From

The Hotel shuttle from the airport makes another stop at its' sister hotel in Nuevo Vallarta on the way north.  Hence the 90 minute trip.

Where's The Seatbelts and Vests ?

The bus driver's are extremely helpful if somewhat ambitious " wanna be race car driver's " and will assist in loading your baggage and making you comfortable.  These guy's do not make a lot of money and believe me, they certainly appreciate your genorosity of a tip of whatever size.  They do work hard and will go out of their way for you.

My First Stop After The Bus Ride From The Airport !

Yup, they've been expecting Senor Rick !  They must have known that Juan Fangio's grandson ( famous race car driver folk's ) was driving the bus up from the airport !  You should have seen the way he  drove through the mountains !  And he dodged all those highwayman's bullets pretty good too !

Decameron Los Cocos - Cocos 2 Building, Rincon

This is about the 2nd thing I like to do upon arrival.  The Decameron Los Cocos Hotel complex is made up of a total of 5 separate buildings, each housing guests and used for different activities.  Cocos 1, Cocos 5 and Cocos 2 are all located directly on the beach.  Each has an in-ground swimming pool.  Cocos 1 building has the only elevator and has a bar and restaurant.  Cocos 5 has a snack bar ( pizza at lunch ) and is used for weekly BBQ's/fiesta's and exercise activities as well as sports equipment storage.  Cocos 2 has a small bar and specialty restaurant.  Cocos 3 is off the beach, no pool but has tennis courts.  Cocos 4 is about a block away from the beach and has an adult-only pool, front desk, money change, disco/entertainment stage and specialty restaurant.  It is located on Rincon's main street with access to bus, taxi, bicycle and horse tours.  A small shop for various items is located both in Cocos 4 and Cocos 1 buildings.
